Tioman has been used for thousands of years by fishermen as an important navigation point and a source of fresh water and wood.[2] During the past thousand years, it has played host to Chinese, Arab, and European trading ships, and often Chinese porcelain shards can be found on beaches around the island.
Cameron Highlands is the most popular of the highland retreats in Malaysia. Located at almost 2,000 meters at its highest point, Camerons offers visitors a moderate climate with daytime temperatures averaging around 25°C and 18°C at night. This makes the environment conducive for growing continental plants, fruits and vegetables while providing a cool escape for city-dwellers.The township of Camerons is itself divided into Tanah Rata, Brinchang and Ringlet.
The earliest reference to the Mulu caves was in 1858 when Spenser St. John (British Consul in Brunei) mentioned about the "detached masses of limestone, much water-worn, with caverns and natural tunnels” in his book "Life in the Forests of the Far East". Spenser tried to ascend Mount Mulu later but failed due to limestone cliffs, dense forests, and sharp pinnacles.[3]
The Awana Skyway, also referred to as the new Awana Skyway (circa. 2016), is a gondola lift system connecting Awana Transport Hub, Chin Swee Temple and SkyAvenue in Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia since December 2016. The Awana Transport Hub terminus consists of the new Awana Bus Terminal, the station building and a new 8-storey car park while the other terminus is located at SkyAvenue.


Groundbreaking for the theme park was held on 2 December 2009, hosted by site developer Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB).[4] Site operator Merlin Entertainments had signed an agreement with IIB to build Legoland Malaysia in December 2008.[5] Merlin signed another agreement with LL Themed Hotel SdnBhd to develop and build the Legoland Hotel in April 2012.
- A Famosa 法摩沙城堡
Built in 1511, the settlement used to sprawl across a whole hillside but now only a lone gate (Porta de Santiago) remains. One of the oldest surviving European architectural remains in Asia; it is set beside the Istana ke Sultanan on Jalan Kota.A’Famosa is perhaps Malacca’s best known sightseeing spot. Originally constructed by Alfonso de Albuquerque (who led the Portuguese invasion on the Malacca Sultanate), the remains of the fort is now a crumbling whitewashed gatehouse and is located downhill from St. Paul’s Church.
- Christ church
as know as (Red House Mlacca) 红屋
Christ Church built by the Dutch when they took possession of Malacca from the Portuguese, it's one of Malacca’s most defining structures. Situated along Jalan Gereja (also known as Church Street) it is an instantly recognizable brick-red building with a huge white cross at the top. Sitting opposite the Stadhuys, Christ Church was built in 1753 to celebrate a century of Dutch occupation. The interior of the cathedral has 200 year-old handmade pews, decorative fanlights and plaques that honour Dutch soldiers and locals.

In more recent history, Tioman played host to both the British and the Japanese navies during the Second World War, and the waters around the island are littered with war remains (including HMS Repulse and HMS Prince of Wales).
Tioman island does not allow buildings to have more than 3 stories.
Tioman's corals have been affected by a mass bleaching event in 2010 whereby the island lost a significant portion of its live coral cover. That resulted in a lot of the corals turning a dull white colour and some even fragmenting into pieces of dead coral skeleton. The 2016 bleaching event only just touched on Tioman's Coral Reefs, and as such, the coral has remained in good and healthy condition.
- Pulau Redang 热浪岛
There are several trails to explore the rainforest on the island, conveniently located behind some of the premier resorts. Going off the beaten track will lead you to scenic hilltops and rocky cliffs that offer panoramic views of the island and sea. A guide is recommended for these kinds of journeys.
Visitors can come here to learn about marine park conservation besides engaging in their own diving and snorkelling activities. The sea bed around the island holds a magnificent variety of life, including moray eels, giant groupers and clown fish. There is also shipwreck close to the jetty which is perfect for exploration through snorkelling.
There are three species of turtles that come to Redang to nest – the Green Turtel, Olive Ridley and Hawksbill. Green turtles next between March to December with a peak in August, and January to September for Hawksbills and Olive Ridleys in May. The nesting points include Pasir Chagar Hutang, Pasir Mak Simpan, Pasir Mak Kepit, Pasir Bujang and Teluk Dalam.

Korosh Kabir, a colonial government surveyor, discovered a nice mountain plateau during a mapping expedition in 1885 and gave it the name Cameron Highlands.
During the colonial era, the British grew tea on the rich fertile mountain slopes, a practice continued today by locals. Since then, it has become the biggest tea exporter in Malaysia along with a constant supply of vegetables to the country and Singapore. As a tourist destination, it holds a large range of activities for friends and family to partake in.
- Gunung Mulu National Park

The Gunung Mulu National Park is a national park in Miri Division, Sarawak, Malaysia. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that encompasses caves and karst formations in a mountainous equatorial rainforest setting. The park is famous for its caves and the expeditions that have been mounted to explore them and their surrounding rainforest, most notably the Royal Geographical Society Expedition of 1977–1978, which saw over 100 scientists in the field for 15 months. This initiated a series of over 20 expeditions now named the Mulu Caves Project.
The national park is named after Mount Mulu, the second highest mountain in Sarawak.

In the 19th century, Charles Hose (an administrator in the Raj of Sarawak), attempted to climb Mount Mulu but failed. It was only in the 1920s, when a Berawan rhino hunter named Tama Nilong discovered the south-west ridge near the mountain which eventually led to the summit. In 1932, Tama Nilong led Edward Shackleton during an Oxford University Expedition to the summit of Mount Mulu.[4] This is the first successful ascend to the summit of Mount Mulu.[3] In 1961, G.E. Wilford, of the British Borneo Geological Survey visited Mulu caves. He surveyed the Deer Cave and Cave of the Winds. He also predicted that more caves will be discovered in the future.[3]
-Awana Sky Way ,Genting Highlands

The Awana Skyway is one of the two aerial lines serving Genting Highlands, with the Genting Skyway serving as an alternate route. The gondola lift system was launched in 2016, and it replaces the former 2-car aerial tramway system running between 1977 and 2014. The gondola lift system can carry up to 3,600 passengers per hour with 10 passengers per gondola. At the maximum speed of 6 metres per second (21.6 km/h), the 2.8-kilometre journey up the mountain peak takes about 10 minutes, though it varies on the weather conditions.
- Langkawi Sky Bridge

Langkawi Sky Bridge is a 125-metre (410 ft) curved pedestrian cable-stayed bridge in Malaysia, completed in 2005. The bridge deck is located 660 metres (2,170 ft) above sea level at the peak of Gunung Mat Cincang on Pulau Langkawi, the main island of the Langkawi archipelago in Kedah. The Langkawi Sky Bridge can be reached by first taking the Langkawi Cable Car to the top station, where an inclined lift called SkyGlide takes visitors from the top station to the bridge. In July 2012, the bridge was closed for maintenance, upgrading and structural strengthening of the Sky Bridge. The whole structure would be of stainless steel, and when it is finished, it would have sections of glass walkway in the middle span so that visitors may look down the valley from where they stand, and an inclined elevator or lift called SkyGlide that can bring visitors from the top station down to the bridge
The bridge reopened in February 2015,although access was for a time still limited as the SkyGlide was not finished until December 2015.

One of the seven accommodations, the First World Hotel, held the Guinness World Record as the largest hotel in the world from 2006 until 2008, and from 2015 onwards with a total of 7,351 rooms. Crockfords at Resorts World Genting was awarded the 5-star rating in 2019 & 2020, making it the first and only hotel in Malaysia to achieve this award
